“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Trip to Maryland, Day 3

Friday in Maryland got off to a rocky start. Not bothering to check my e mail schedule, I assumed elementary chapel was at 9:30 like high school chapel was the day before.  In actuality, it was scheduled for 8:30.  We arrived eight minutes before we were supposed to start.  If there was any positive in this situation it was that our props were already in the building from the show the day before.  Sue, Rose and I all hustled to get things set, and- I don't know how- we were ready on time.

There were over 200 kids in the audience, and they were high energy.  I mean this in a very positive way.  Best of all, the ten fifth graders who we had trained the day before were excellent in the performance of their illusions.  Better than I expected actually, given how little time we had to prepare.

When chapel was over, Rose, Sue and I went sightseeing locally.  We saw the birthplace of John Hanson, the REAL first President of America.  While George Washington was the first President under the Constitution, Hanson was the first of two or three who served under the failed Articles of Confederation.  We also visited the first Carmelite monastery in North America.  This was absolutely beautiful, with gardens and outdoor stations of the cross.

For supper we met several couples at Outback Restaurant for good food and fellowship.  Then back to Holiday Inn, that was beginning to feel like a second home.
