Bridgton Winter Carnival

Feb 21 2018

Our home town of Bridgton, Maine has an annual winter carnival, complete with a polar bear swim, horse and wagon rides, entertainment, and more. This year we were given the opportunity to do a show at town hall as a fund raiser for our upcoming summer mission trip to Uganda, Africa. The show was Saturday morning.

We had a very good turn out, and we gave our audience a strong 50 minutes of juggling and magic. Perhaps I shouldn't be pointing this out, but the Bridgton old town hall still has no fire alarm system in it, so this allowed me to juggle fire props without the fear of setting them off.

Besides our routines, I shared a bit about prior trips we've taken to South America, and a bit about our oldest daughter's 10 weeks in Uganda several summers ago. After the show, my wife, Sue, manned a merchandise table where she was selling both of my books, as well as hand made jewelry and purses from ladies in Kampala, Uganda. Between merch sales and what the chamber of commerce paid us for the gig, this event helped make another dent in our fund raising efforts.

Thank you, Bridgton Chamber of Commerce
