“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Way Up North

Every summer since 2005, my family has spent six weeks in the northernmost part of Maine. Over these years, we have connected with a lot of different churches where we have done our show, so it was no surprise when the Easton, Maine Wesleyan Church contacted us to come up or a weekend in October.

We arrived in the "county" early on Saturday. We had enough time in fact, to go out to lunch with our family friend (she's really more family than friend these days) Tammy. After this, we went to the church where they were setting up for a "trunk or treat"; a community Pre-Halloween event. We got busy setting up as our show was the closing part of this party.

After our show, Sue, Rose and I went downstairs to the fellowship hall where we joined the pastor's family and other volunteers for a dinner of pizza, chips and soda. We were joined by Tom and Kathy Perry, who would be our hosts for the night. More significantly, Kathy is our cook at the camp we have worked at since 2005, and will be returning to again in 2019.

The Perry's were wonderful hosts, as we were sure they would be (we've stayed with them before) and it was fun staying up and talking into the evening. Then on Sunday morning -with the ground covered in freshly fallen snow- we went back to Easton Wesleyan to share our presentation about last summer's trip to Uganda. The church was warm and welcoming as always, and generous in giving toward our well drilling project for Buyala Children's School.

And God was gracious in allowing the snow and sleet to stop, when it was time to head back south.
