“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Casco Inn and Country Village

As teachers, we are blessed with vacation weeks sprinkled throughout the year. My wife and I are currently in the middle of one of those weeks right now. While it's called a vacation, these weeks are often a time to catch up on yard work, paper work and performances, and this week is no exception.  Yesterday I did two shows at two different boarding homes (different than nursing homes) for elderly people here in western Maine.

The first show was at Casco Inn, which happens to also be right next door to our church in Casco, Maine.  The second was at Country Village, an old farmhouse in the center of Casco which was  converted to serve these senior citizens. In both shows, I emphasized Easter (of course) specifically focusing on Jesus victory over not only His own death, but all the deaths of his flock.  I have an illusion that tells about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, and this was sort of the central routine of both shows.  The illusion itself is a hand made, one of a kind prop constructed by my good friend, Gene Bourque.  But I digress.

It was a special chance to share a moment of Holy Week with these special people, most of whom were born and raised right here in western Maine.  At 57, it isn't as easy to do two shows in a day as it was at 27 or 37. But, hey, that's what vacations are for.
