“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Tony's Foodland

This evening, we had shows in one of our most unique venues of the year.  Each year, a local grocery store has our church's worship team, BAWT, and the Supreme Court Jesters as entertainment for their community Christmas party.  Hundreds of people come to listen to the music, watch us perform, bring their kids to see Santa, and enjoy lots of free samples of food, face painting and costumed characters.

This year, our third time as part of this event, was no different.  I did four short shows if you count some walk-around work before the party actually even started.  I did my new routine to Melanie's version of "Hallelujah" from Handel's Messiah.  I also did two other routines from Melanie's 'Antlers' Christmas CD (see it here:  http://freespace.virgin.net/robert_ian.smith/Albums/Antlers.htm ) which I wrote about in a prior blog.  I did a diabolo routine to 'Marvelous Toy' and boxes to 'O Come All Ye Faithful'.  Rose did two illusions: the shackles escape annd a trick with a change bag.  The Gospel message of Christmas was presented, but it was kept low key, in fitting with the mood of the event.  Nonetheless, Christian juggling in front of the bacon and hot dog display is unique by anyone's definition.

Several students of mine were there which added to the fun of the evening.  Also, Rose's best friend, Kendyl was there, and, when not performing, they had a ball together.  Sue was there for the first half of the event, but she had to leave early for a class she's taking.  Grocery store juggling is becoming a special Christmas tradition for our family.
