“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

LOL at Mountain View Nursing Home

Today LOL performed at a nursing home in Ossipee, New Hampshire.  It was arranged because one of my student's grandfathers lives there.  Mountain View is a beautiful facility, and my troupe of jugglers were thrilled at the high ceilings - two stories - which gave us all the room they needed for even the highest of throws.

Since tomorrow is Veteran's Day, we decided as we were driving there that we would start with the class singing "America the Beautiful".  They pulled it together very well in a short amount of prep time.  We also added a musical solo by Brandon who played guitar and sang a worship song.

The rest of the show was our normal mix of juggling, skits and illusions, and it was our best show of the year so far.  While many of the residents were severely disabled and may not have understood the performance as much as other groups we've performed for, the students were terrific, and showed the people all the respect they deserved (as in, "When you've done it to the least of these, you've done it unto Me.")

After the program, we all went to a McDonalds for lunch.  Sue was able to meet us there, so it was a rare treat to have lunch with my wife.  The staff and some of the customers at McDonalds commented to me about what well behaved students I have!  Perhaps the best part of the day, though, was the spontaneous worship songs in the van, led by Brandon and his guitar.  It was a great day.
