Yesterday we juggled at a little girl's birthday party.  She was turning 5, and she is the daughter of one of Sue's adult ed. students, and they're a wonderful Christian family.  I really don't see myself as a children's minister, although I think the little girl was happy and enjoyed the show.  But, as often happens, I think the Gospel message was more directed at the parents and older kids who were present.

It was interesting that, when I started the opening routine, all the four, five and six year olds were sitting up front on the grass,, while the 10, 11 and older kids were up on the deck watching from a distance.  However, before the opening routine was over, all these older kids were on the ground with the younger ones, and stayed there until the end. 

Being an outdoor show, I was able to juggle a lot of fire props, including my fire diabolo, which is one of my favorites.  I opened with my buckets and balls routine, which I don't do a lot, but it got us off to a good start.  Rose, as usual, did several illusions, and we all enjoyed celebrating with this family in rural New Hampshire.
