“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Three Recent Gigs

Over the past couple of weeks, we have had three local gigs, all of which were very different from one another.

April 22nd was Compassion Sunday at our church.  That morning's service was set aside to promote Compassion International, a Christ centered child sponsorship program.  A layman from our church, Paul, did an inspiring sermon, I did my 'Do Something Now' routine and Rose shared briefly about our sponsored child, Lavendar who is from Kenya.  (See my earlier blog entitled "Lavendar")  Eight more children were sponsored by families from our church as a result of that service.  (Check out child sponsorship opportunities here:  http://www.compassion.com/ )

On April 26th, LOL did a clinic at St. Joseph's College.  They did a short juggling demo, but most of the two hours we were there they were teaching juggling to faculty and staff.  This was part of their 'Lunch and Learn' program giving their staff opportunities to experience different hobbies and recreational activities.

Then, just today, I did a show at the Bridgton Health Care center.  Our friend, Erlyne Proctor is now a resident there, and it was good to see her after several weeks in which she has been unable to attend church.  The highlight of the show, though, was when a sleeping resident in the front row woke up, yelled "Shut up!" at me and promptly fell back asleep.  God will stop at nothing to keep me humble!
