“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Bella Point, Bridgton

I thabk God for our local assisted living facility, Bella Point.  Not only for the great job they do serving the elders in our community, but because, during this pandemic, they have kept me busy doing shows.  True, from October through April it's been to cold here in Maine to do outside shows, but all last summer I was doing programs on their patio at least once a month.  This resumed now that it is May and warm weather has arrived.

Since last performing there in the fall, there's been some tun over in clientelle, and it's always fun to have folks in the audience who have never seen my show before. When I explained early in the show that my routines were written about Scripture, a lady in the back row held up her Bible and said "right here!".  I knew I'd have a good time.

Since the show was outside, it freed me up to do fire devil sticks and fire diabolo without concern for setting off fire alarms.  I also debuted a trick that involved producing large amounts of coins from three empty cups.  It's a keeper: I'll do it again. But I also did another new illusion "How Time Flies".  A solid alarm clock disappears. This allowed me to talk about a concept that is very familiar to the residents at Bella Point, and is becoming increasingly relevant to me as well:  life is short.  This segued nicely into a couple illusions about Solomon's words in Ecclesiastes:  "Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind."

It was a beautiful spring motning at Bella Point, and I hope that God's light was shining through my routines, words and actions.
