“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Good News / Bad News

Our local nursing home, now known as Bella Point, has had me in to juggle four times a year for many years now.  It's hard to have much new to say about my shows their because I've done it there so many times.  But  today's visit will be memorable for a variety of reasons.

First, the bad news.  My juggling was horrible.  Oh, I don't think the audience knew it was quite as bad as it was, because I know my routines and how they're supposed to go.  And they were sloppy.  Now that I'm in my late 50's, stretching and warming up are essential before performances, and today I disregarded these disciplines.  I'll let God use this to humble me and do what I know I have to from now on.

But in the end, the good news outweighed the bad.  First of all, I have been experimenting with a live fish production for the past month or to, and I did it successfully for the first time in front of an audience!  I figured this was a good venue to premiere it, as I only had to transport the four goldfish a couple of miles.  This is definitely a trick that can be used regularly.

Second, a former student of mine, who I probably haven't seen in 15 - 18 years is working at Bella Point, and we had a chance to catch up.  This is always a blessing.  And finally, one of the audience members was a volunteer and also the pastor of a local Baptist congregation.  I haven't been by her church often, but never been in nor met her, but she was please with my show and we spoke about my going to her church for a performance sometime.  And the invitation wasn't even hampered by today's poor effort at juggling.
