“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

From my Journal of my First Mission Trip: the DR 1994 (5th entry)

Sunday:

I woke up this morning with diarrhea at about 5:00.  I was the only one up, except our 'vigilante' (security guard with his sawed-off shotgun.  I must admit he made me a little nervous.  I had a couple more trips to the bathroom before church, but nothing a little Imodiu m couldn't handle.

PJ (our chaplian) asked me to share what God was teaching me during my sickness.  So during our chapel service, I did so.  I was teary-eyed to sy the least.

Then we left for a Dominican church.  The music was awesome.  Both Randy and Paul preached with John interpreting.  After church, we went to Wendy's (the fast food place, noty our interpretors) for lunch.  American food and air conditioning- what a combination.

I rested when we got back to camp, but I did not sleep; a sign I'm feeling better.  Mike and Paul both slept, so I sought out John and we drank coffee together.

This evening, we all went ot the fieldfor the last night of the open air campaign.  I was allowed to perform if I sat and only did magic; no juggling.  Of course, I accepted, and it went very well.

We had supper when we got back, and for dessert: pineapple popsicles!

Kurt Vonnegut says writers write to an audience of one.  If that is true, then I am writing this journal as a letter to Sue.  I can't wait to read these pages to her. She is the love of my life.  My daughters are my pride and joy.  I will see them
