“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Bridgton Winter Carnival

Bridgton is a quaint little Currier and Ives town in south western Maine.  My wife and I have lived here for over 30 years, and raised three daughters here, and we have enjoyed this community wonderfully.  So when I am invited to juggle at community events such as parades or festivals, I'm quick to say yes.

Saturday was Bridgton's winter festival.  I have done shows at this event in past years, but this year was different.  Instead of being in a gym housed in a building known as "Old Town Hall", I would be at the Highland Lake Beach, along with all other events: hay rides, ice fishing, snow mobile rides, an ice bar and a chili cook off among other things.  And, while, I enjoyed being in the hub of everything, but this did come with challenges.

First of all it was 19 degrees at show time.  And if that didn't make it challenging enough, there was a mild, but steady breeze coming off the frozen lake all morning long.  Furthermore, my music was drowned out by the sound of snow mobiles and generators.  But the show had to go on.

So for 40 minutes I juggling to an ever growing and appreciative crowd.  Family groups and individuals of all ages gathered around, seeming not to notice that the conditions for the show were less than perfect.  Afterwards, the audience had the chance to meet Cotton, my rabbit, and I had time to chat with these fellow Bridgtonians.  It was well worth the discomfort, and is one more reason to love my home town.
