“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Dinner Theater

I'll be honest, the title is misleading.  It wasn't dinner theater, per se, but rather juggling for school kids at three different summer lunch drop off sites.  These three shows were spred out over a few weeks this summer, and each one was a little different.  The shows were in three diffeent towns all within our local public school district:  the elementary playground in Bridgton, by the side of a lake in Naples, and in a town park / library yard in Casco.  And, all being outdoors, the weather varied as well:  moments before a predicted storm one time, blistering hot another, and once with just enough breeze to make juggling challenging but not impossiblr.

The three shows also varied in what I chose to perform.  Since they were all outdoors, I juggled fire in all three. Although only two provided enough space to safely include my fire diabolo, I was able to light up fire devil sticks and traditional torches at all three venues.  To be honest, I don't remember exactly which routines I did at which locations, but I do know that I was able to do some things that were either new or newly reintroduced.  These include a whip catch to end my diabolo routine, sickle juggling, including multiplexes, and juggling clubs on a balance board among others.

The kids and adult volunteers enjoyed the shows, and it was a great way to just be present in my local community.  I encountered people from my church, my school, and the food pantry that my wife heads up, as well as lots of other local kids enjoying lunch on their summer vacations.
