LOL, the team of jugglers, illusionists, and other performers from Windham Christian Academy, has begun their new school year.  Our theme is ‘Fruit’, focusing on the passage known as the fruits of the Spirit, but touching on other parables and biblical studies where fruit plays a role.

Out of the 22 students in this year’s LOL group, nine were in LOL last year.  This is considerably more than last year, which means we can get up and running sooner.  Several of the incoming students already know the fundamentals of juggling, which is another  strength to start the year with.  Hannah, the magical chicken, and Jeremiah the rabbit will be performing this year, too.

We had our first rehearsal today, and, as usual, it was slow and laborious.  This is typical, trying to get so many people all moving in the same direction, learning new routines, trying to understand how certain props work, and learning the difference between props and toys.  This is nothing new.  I am confident we will be ready for our first show at the Barron Center nursing home on October 3^rd.
