“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Fryeburg Haelth Care and a community picnic

I had two shows today.  The first one was at a nursing home and rehab facility in our neighboring town, Fryeburg.  Since new owners have purchased the facility, the clientele tends to be less severely disabled, which made it so they could enjoy and understand the show more than would have happened previously.  The audience was interactive the whole morning.  Of course, they especially enjoyed the dove and rabbit production, although I didn't do the traditional 'meet and greet' with Cotton after the show as he is vigorously shedding his summer coat right now.

I left immediately from Fryeburg to get back to my home town of Bridgton in order to do a show for a community picnic sponsored by three local churches and the Bridgton Community Center.  There was a good turnout of families playing carnival games, getting faces painted and listening to a local trio playing pop and gospel songs.  After a traditional picnic lunch of hamburgers, chips and cookies, it was my turn to go on.  Unfortunately, we did not have access to electricity, and my ipod's battery is dead.  Walt, one of the musicians and an old friend, said his phone could play through Bluetooth if I got him the names and artists of the songs I use.  I didn't understood a lot of this, but I got him the list.  Since much of the music I perform with is rather obscure, he wasn't able to find it all.  We improvised a few times, and it did make it challenging, but I honestly don't think the audience noticed.  It was a great afternoon of community fun, a chance to gently share the Gospel, and get reacquainted with old friends and neighbors.

I love living in a small town.
