“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Uganda Bound

A few summers ago, our oldest daughter, Jo, spent 10 weeks at a children's home in Kampala, Uganda. A year or so after that, the director, Joseph, was in the US raising support from local churches, and he stayed with us for a few days, and left with an open invitation to come to Kampala someday. We believe that some day is this summer.

Some of you who read this blog are aware that I direct a summer camp in Maine. The board has graciously given me a sabbatical for the summer of 2018, with the assurance of returning next summer. The search for an interim director continues, but there are currently a couple of strong prospects.

Just what we will be doing at Agape House could include a variety of things. Undoubtedly, there will be opportunities to share the Gospel with juggling and illusions, and those doors will open as things progress. More importantly, we will be there to serve the kids who live there. Changing diapers, homework help, whatever. Also, Joseph wants to start a school at the home, and, both being educators, we would be happy to discuss this with his folks there. Ultimately, we just want to be servants in any way we can, and get to know Joseph and Gladys Sserwadda better.

Recently, Windham Assembly of God and North Baldwin Baptist Church have hosted fund raisers for our trip, and due to their generosity, and the generosity of many who have already donated, we are at the point where we will buy our tickets soon.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
