“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Fryeburg Health Care

Last Saturday, I had a show at a nursing home in Fryeburg, Maine. Fryeburg is only one town away, so it was easy to get there and have plenty of time to set up. Although this could be just another routine part of our annual schedule, this show always brings back a couple of unique memories. First, there was the evening we were doing a show in their all purpose room when suddenly a loud argument broke out just to the right of where I was performing. Suddenly, a male resident had enough and he pushed a woman in her wheelchair who came barreling across the stage area! Another time, our babysitter, Jennifer, was with us because our oldest daughter, Jo, was only a toddler at the time. While changing our little girl into pajamas off stage, Jenn lost control of he, and Jo came running out completely naked to greet me on stage. Ah, memories.

Nothing like this happened Saturday, but we all had a great time. As it turns out FHC is under new ownership, and during the transition and remodeling, only the most high functioning residents seem to live there. Everyone in the audience clearly understood and enjoyed each routine.

So, as I packed up my props for yet another annual visit to FHC, I was very content with the ministry of the morning. It might not have the dramatic memories of other visits, it was well worth the quick jaunt to Fryeburg for the morning.
