“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Tamworth, NH Adult Ed. Resource Fair

My wife, Sue, has been the director of an adult education program in New Hampshire for 10 years now.  She does an excellent job working with an adult night school, citizenship classes, and GED prep.  Today she held a resource fair at her office -outside her office, actually, in the parking lot.  There were a variety of employers present looking to hire, community resource programs, and other adult educators.  There was a local state representative as well.  In addition to these various booths (one by a school of cosmetology hosted by a couple of Sues GED graduates. Very cool!) she brought in my middle school jugglers, the LOL Vaudeville Show.

The fact is, my class has only been back to school for two weeks, and we are nowhere near ready to do our full show.  This worked out just fine, because Sue only wanted about 15 minutes from us. We were actually the opening act for Abe and Mary Todd Lincoln.  This made me nervous because the last time Mr. And Mrs. Lincoln went to a live show it didn't end well.  Seriously, this couple is New Hampshire's official Lincoln impersonators, and 'Abe' is the national runner up Abraham Lincoln doppelgänger.

LOL got things off to a great start with a rabbit production illusion, followed by a routine where each kid juggles and is upstaged by another.  Then they did an audience participation routine to John Fogarty's "Centerfield".  We closed with the fire and machete medley to Bash in the Code's rock version of "the B I B L E".  The audience loved it all.

the Lincolns went next.  This worked well for my class as we're doing US history this year, and we were able to stay for, their whole presentation.  Abe and Mary took turns talking about their childhood, courtship and road to the White House.  They were real pros.

So In the end, I spent the day with my wife, a group of 13 year old show offs, and a great American hero.  Not a bad day's work.
