“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

LOL at So. Limington Baptist

My middle school juggling troupe, LOL, had a show a while ago at So. Limington Baptist Church.  Prior to the show, the church hosted a spaghetti dinner, and the entire LOL team and their parents were invited to join them for,the meal.  It was a perfect New England church dinner.  It was in the basement of the church with more people than space, and lots of friendly chatter.  Then we were all sent upstairs for a show.

It was a pleasant surprise that our jugglers were not the only entertainment.  Four teens from the local high school's select choir were there to sing a few pieces.  They opened with "Puttin' on the Ritz".  They sang again during the offering, and finally in closing.  Though I don't remember the sequence, the songs included: "Amazing Grace", "This Little Light of Mine" and other standards.

As for LOL, the kids were certainly challenged for space.  An old New England church, SLBC has a permanent altar rail, an organ and chandeliers, all of which caused the kids to adapt their juggling to the space limitations.  Nonetheless, they did great.  Caleb H did a diabolo orbit around his leg for,the first time ever, machete medley was spot on, and Brianna was perfect with clubs.

Unfortunatley there were a few complications, including horrible feedback and music that didn't load at one point.  None of this was the fault of the kids or the church.  To put a positive spin on this, the kids handled these curveballs perfectly.  And Leah was a Godsend when we realized there could be more music unavailable as the show progressed; thank God for smartphones and teenagers who understand technology better than their teacher.
