“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Trip to Maryland, Day 2

We woke up in our Holiday Inn room on our second day in Maryland and quickly got ready to leave for Southern Maryland Christian Academy.  We had a show for the middle/ high school chapel service.  We did an hour long show with these older kids, and Rose was especially a big hit with her age peer audience.  We had a great time of prayer with some of the students after the show as I had challenged them to "Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness".

After our service, 10 fifth graders were brought to us to be trained in basic magic tricks.  These kids were selected by their teacher for good behavior.  Sue and I worked with these kids, teaching each one trick for them to perform when we did elementary chapel the next morning.  They learned quickly, had a lot of fun, and it was obvious why they were chosen for good behavior.  While we were with the fifth graders, Rose spent the rest of the day visiting high school classes, where she was made very welcome by her adoring fans.

After some down time that afternoon, we had dinner with Phillip and Glenda and their two sons.  He was born in Jamaica, she in the Philippines.  They came to America as kids and met in the Air Force.  We had a great meal of lasagna, then played Uno with the boys on their living room floor.  The two brothers are 21 and 23, and had some of the coolest afros I've ever seen.  We laughed a lot as part of their "house rules" is that the winner of each hand got to make up a new rule for the next hand.  While Rose and alll the guys played cards, Sue and Glenda chatted in the living room.  After a great day and with full stomachs we headed back to Holiday Inn for another restful sleep.
