“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Where Does the Time Go?

I have been blogging less over these past few months. This has not been an intentional choice, it has just sort of happened. I'm not sure I can even really pinpoint a reason. I know the month of October was rough for my anxiety. I even cancelled a show one weekend because of it.

But as the days got shorter and colder, my anxiety waned. Weird, I know, but while many people face emotional struggles through the winter, I am usually happier. Winter is so COZY. We had several shows during this time, and I've blogged about some but not all, which is usually my goal.

Through this time we celebrated Thanksgiving in Conway, New Hampshire with some of our closest friends, the Davis's. I have known Josh since he was an 11 year old in my middle school classroom. He is now married to a beautiful Christian woman and they have their first child, a daughter. It was a wonderful, mellow day with these very sweet people.

Christmas time was just as special. My daughter,Rose, and I were in a live nativity performance at our school. We did three performances. We also did an overnight ministry weekend in Portland, which I actually DID blog about. Then, over Christmas break, our two older daughters came home. Jona-Lynn (25), was home for a week from Austin, Texas, and Naomi (23) was home for two days. This was the first time we've all been in the same place in over a year. What a blessing to look up during our family gift exchange and see all three daughters sitting side by side by side on our couch.

The older two left before New Years, but Sue, Rose and I celebrated with a couple of Rose's friends at a community celebration in Gorham, Maine. It was bitter cold, but we had a great time with shows that included exotic animals, a Beatles tribute band, fireworks. and a magician.

And now we're already into the double digits of January. It has been a great winter so far, complete with lots of snow and cold nights. My school has already used seven snow days! (Three were actually due to power outages from a wind storm in October) Somewhere in there I turned 56, we got a kitten who I really think is Rose's first true love, and we have joined a new church after 23 years. We are now part of a small (30 people on a good Sunday) church in Naples, Maine. We have done a variety of shows in different settings. I actually did a book signing at a local book store, although I confess I sold exactly zero books! It was worth a try though.

So will I get back on track with my blogs? Absolutely. When, however, is a different question.
