“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Bridgton Health Care

Four times a year I do my show at the local nursing home, just three miles from my house.  This afternoon I did one of my 2019 gigs there, and it was unique in a couple ways.  First of all, it was a 2:00 PM show, and I'm always there in the morning.  This time I had to bump it later in the day, though, as I spent the morning at the 40th anniversary celebration of Ossipee Valley Christian School, where I work for 13 years.  It was also different because what was once Bridgton Health Care is now Bella Pointe as it is under new ownership.  The place looks really nice: new art work, a hard wood floor in the multipurpose, and  room new décor everywhere.  Furthermore, the clientele are more ambulatory and cognizant than in past visits. All this made for a nice visit today.

But the best part was after the show.  An Hispanic lady called me over and thanked me.  She said she enjoyed the show, especially since I talked so much about Jesus.  Then, between trips back and forth to my car with props, she called me over again and said, "I like it when they talk about my Jesus."  I knew I was in the presence of a true sister in the faith.  I asked her name, and she is Julia Rodriguez.  We agreed to pray for each other from this point on.

As I was finally ready to leave, I asked the new activity director more about her.  Although Julia was born in Puerto Rico, she came to the US as a two year old. This surprised me as she still had a very definite accent.  Regardless, I was blessed to have the opportunity to bless this lady in turn.  (Hopefully many others as well.)  If you read this please pray for Julia as well.

Thank you.
