“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Unexpected Opportunities

Most of the time, we use our juggling and magic in the format of a full length (30 to 75 minutes) show that is planned out and set up ahead of time.  Here at camp, though, it doesn't always work that way.  Last week, a local Pastor asked if we'd be attending his church that Sunday.  This wasn't presumptuous on his part, it's the church we go to when we don't have an engagement.  He wanted me to do the fish and bread paper tear trick to coincide with his sermon.  We were, however, scheduled to do a service in New Brunswick.  Naomi, however, was not going to be going to Canada with the rest of us, so she did the illusion for our pastor friend and his congregation.

Then we had a rainy day a couple of days ago.  At the last minute, I realized I could replace one of our outdoor activities with a juggling clinic indoors.  We had plates spinning, balls flying, kids on balance boards and more.

I've been teaching a morning class here with the high school campers we have this week.  The topic is Christinan world view.  Yesterday we covered the topic of man's responsibility, and I incorporated my "Do Something now" routine about world hunger.  Again, not a 'show' per se, but another opportunity to use the gifts God has entrusted to us nonetheless.

Finally, in the camp talent show last night, one of our camper,  former LOL member and precious friend, Lauren, juggled fire in her cabin's skit.  It never ceases to amaze me how many ways juggling and magic can be plugged into events in our day to day life.
