“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

LOL

For those of you who don't know, LOL is a group of middle school jugglers who I coach and who perform at least once a month throughout the school year. They do many of the same routines I do, as well as routines that require more performers. Always, they share the Gospel.

LOL had a show at another Christian school in southern Maine. It was for their weekly chapel service. First of all, the audience was wonderful and very appreciative. We all knew, however, that it was NOT a particularly good performance. There were too many mistakes, timing was off, a couple of illusions were blown. The LOL performers didn't get discouraged, and there were a few high points, and it was a good reminder of why LOL exists in the first place.

L OL doesn't exist because these 12, 13 and 14 year olds are God's gift to the mission field that is Maine. Humbly, I say that my family and I could do a better job at presenting the Gospel through juggling and illusions than they do. The reason LOL exists is for LOL, not their audience. They are learning that to be a Christian is to serve. They are learning about hurting people in nursing homes, psych hospitals, group homes, and other settings they may not otherwise visit. They are learning team work, putting others before themselves, and the value of creativity. And if they learn this now, someday, when they are older, perhaps ministry will be a natural part of their lives, and they might become God's gift to this mission field that is Maine.
