Yesterday's show was in Gorham, ME. at a place called the Inn at Village Square.  It is an apartment building for senior citizens who can still live independantly.  I was joined by Rose, as well as our 14 year old niece, Leona.  Leona is my sister-in-law's charming daughter whom she adopted several years ago.  Leona's mom, Linda, came for most of the show with her two foster sons, also teens.  It is so easy to 'cheapen' being pro-life into just how one votes, but it's so much more than that.  It also involves, among other things, caring for kids whose birth moms have chosen to carry them to term, but need help raising them.  Linda's family is a wonderful example of this kind of commitment.

The show went well, but what encouraged me the most was another guest in the audience.  Ruth, a former coworker from my OVCS days, was there.  Her husband has been pastoring in the area for the past few years, and, unknown to me, they have started a visitation ministry at the Inn.  When Ruth heard we would be there performing, she took the opportunity to connect with some of the regulars from their visits, as well as to meet some new faces.  I am always encouraged to see God orchestrating things like this.  It's nice to know that, between our annual visits, there is ongoing ministry there.  He is faithful, and will provide a harvest.
