“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

St. Charles Children's Home

LOL performed at a little piece of heaven-on-earth this week.  St. Charles Home in Rochester, NH, is always a favorite venue.  In fact, our oldest daughter, Jo, chose to celebrate her 16th birthday there with the children and the nuns who care for them.  The home is for children for whom the foster care system has failed.  This is the last option for many of them.  The ladies who run the home are amazing examples of selfless love for the 'least of these'.  They see Jesus in the eyes of these hurting, beautiful children, and show Jesus to them every moment.

This is the one show each year that the LOL performers sit interspersed with the audience.  Many of the St. Charles kids sat on the laps of our teens.  They quickly stole our hearts.

But it wasn't about the performance that day.  For about half an hour after the performance, the two groups of kids played together.  They juggled together, played basketball together, played tag, teeter tottered... they had a ball!  As we were loading up to leave, many St. Charles kids asked when we would be back.  Of course, we won't be back until next year, and I don't know who that was harder fo: our kids saying that, or their kids hearing it.

When we left, there were more than a few teary-eyed teens in our vans.  And they left with memories of being part of this glorious ministry with these precious children.
