“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Camp Starts

Since 2005, I have been the seasonal director of Baptist Park, a summer camp in northern Maine.  Like many years, this summer we literally left right after finishing the school year on Friday morning to arrive at camp Friday evening.  This year, though, I've had an especially hard time getting my head where my feet are.  This school year was exhausting, full of extreme highs and lows, and, add in all the events that go with a graduating senior, I really haven't caught my breath yet.  But staff training starts in 45 minutes, so I'd better catch it soon.

We first started coming to Baptist Park in 1995 as speakers, and we fell in love with the place and people.  We have done a lot of camp ministry over the years in many states and Canada, but Baptist Park has always been our favorite.  We have 300 acres of wilderness, where it is not uncommon to see deer, moose and occaisional bear on the grounds.  The atmosphere is laid back, while the facilities are top notch.  Our girls have grown up here, and Jo and Naomi have both been on staff for a few years already.

I still make sure I juggle here often, and we have plenty of ministry opportunities on weekends, too.  Please pray for us this summer.  In many ways my head and heart are still trying to sort out the pros and cons of the recent school year, and I need to get into camp mode in 40 minutes.
