“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Senior High Week at Camp

Last week was senior high week at camp.  We had 23 campers divided among mission aviation camp, cheerleading camp and 'regular' base camp.  In addition, we have a counseling staff of 18 young people ranging in age from 15 to 22.  There was a lot of energy and excitement with all those youth around.

Our speaker was a friend of ours named Donnie Brown.  For several years, he was the chaplain at the Sununu Youth Correction Facility in Manchester, NH, but now he is head of children's ministry in a church, also in Manchester.  He and his wife and three beautiful children (including 6 month old Kaylin) stayed with us in the staff house, and it was a great opportunity for our families to have fellowship together.

On Wednesday night, Donnie was preaching on how all creation praises God.  He explained the passage that says that, if we fail to worship God, even the rocks will cry out.  As he was speaking, it began to rain.  It rained harder and harder until it drowned out the sound of Donnie's voice.  Finally he just said, "Listen."  The rain was all we could hear, but we knew it was more than that.  It was creation crying out its praise to God.  We were all in awe, and, one by one, these young people began weeping.  Big teenage athletes, pastor's sons, staff and campers alike.  No one could really explain in words what was happening that night, except that we all realized, in a very personal way, that we were in the presence of God, and He was making Himself known to us in no uncertain terms.  We were humbled yet reassured. Many of the  young adults there that night will never be the same!  Glory to God!
