We were doing a show recently, and afterwards I met a teenage boy who told me he juggled 'a little.'  Right... A little.  Actually, he was outstanding, and has even flashed 8 balls.  At my best, in the 1990's,  I flashed 7. 

 He accomplished things in two years of juggling that I never have done in 35 years. Sure, he was polite, respectful, articulate. But nice as he was, I decided right away I didn't like him.  He was so much farther along than I was at his age. I know that's shallow.  I'm kidding. 

Kind of. 

Yeah, I'm kidding. 

I guess.

But, he taught me a trick I'd seen performed but never fully understood called multiplexing.  It's simple but looks complicated.  Not only that, but there's lots of variations of multiplexing.  This little technique has improved my juggling more than anything in the past several years.  And, it's fun!

Maybe that kid's all right after all.
