“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Galilee Baptist Church

Last night I had a show at Galilee Baptist Church in Gorham, Maine.  It was for a kid's program called AWANA, but, between staff and parents, there at least as many adults present.  I was alone as Tuesday is Rose's dance class, and Sue has a class on Tuesdays as well.  It was as good a show as I've ever done.  Every routine, including a couple I don't often perform, were perfect or very close, and the audience was terrific.  After a rough show at Windsor Memorial church recently in January, last night's show reminded me of the lyrics by Jackson Browne, "We forget about the losses, we exaggerate the wins."  This was a particularly gratifying 'win' since I was not in a very good mood when I was going to the show.  I called Sue and she prayed with me over the phone, and I know that's what made the difference.

Toward the end of the program, I walked through the kids sitting on the floor and addressed the parents sitting toward the back of the room.  I emphasized the need to lead our children spiritually.  I said that anyone who watches the news can see that there is nothing permanent in this world on which we can completely rely: economics, politics, relationships all can be shaken, and often are.  God is the same yesterday, today and forever.  I think the adults heard it, even though many only have contact with the church when bringing their kids to AWANA.  Most impressively, the kids sat quietly for the two or three minutes I shared these thoughts with their moms and dads. Please pray for the ongoing outreach of the Galilee church.
