New Gloucester Bible Church

Mar 03 2011

LOL had a performance at the New Gloucester (Maine) Bible Church last night for their AWANA club. Because the show was not on school time, it was optional, and 12 of the 21 students made it to the show. In spite of missing almost half the team, the show was excellent, one of the best of the year. This is a real shot in the arm, as their last show had more than its share of rough spots.

One of the highlights of the program was the fact that the fellowship hall where we performed had no smoke detectors, so four of our students were able to perform juggling fire! These days, fire juggling is a rare treat for an indoor show.

The audience was mostly elementary aged kids, although many LOL parents were there, some for the first time this year. The show was well received by all. I am so impressed with my students' ability to be flexible (the "F word" in ministry!) and take on new parts when we're missing team members. I'm so impressed by how professional they are in shows, even when they're often goofy and distracted in rehearsals. And I'm so impressed with how well they represent the school and the Lord whenever they go out into the community to share the Gospel.

The presentation was fun and encouraging... The gospel message was clear and encouraging. I purchased your book and just finished it. Your scope is broad and again encouraging. May God continue to bless your ministry. I will encourage others to read your book. -Parishioner of a local church

"What a wonderful ministry to both children and adults.  In past years it has been a struggle to arrange programing that would hold the attention of all ages, but also challenge each heart with God's gift of Salvation.  Thank you for sharing your ministry."  -Sunday School Sup't.
