Stow Church VBS

Aug 09 2011

We were the featured performers at a VBS for a little church nestled in the woods of Stow, Maine.  We did 45 to 60 minutes each evening from Monday through Friday.  This quaint little church was a sweet venue for our ministry, and we averaged about 20 people of all ages eachh evening.

First, I am thrilled with how much Rose has taken on in our show, especially with the prospect of her two sisters going to college this month.  She has taken over the narrating, plays Mary in "Mary and Marty", assists in our new Zaccheus routine, and much more.  She got to do a lot in the services last week.  More importantly, she befriended some of the kids her age who were in attendance, and has reminded me of the need to pray for them since VBS has ended.   She was also very excited to come home and report to Sue on the last night that at least four people accepted the Lord throughout the week.

The pastor of the Stow church is a pleasant gentleman, and I admire his commitment to this body of believers in this small community.  It is a congregation that has been in existance continuously since 1869, but I have the feeling that their best days may still be ahead of them.

"What a wonderful ministry to both children and adults.  In past years it has been a struggle to arrange programing that would hold the attention of all ages, but also challenge each heart with God's gift of Salvation.  Thank you for sharing your ministry."  -Sunday School Sup't.
