“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Lewiston Root Cellar

The Root Cellar is an inner city outreach ministry in a low income neighborhood in Lewiston, Maine.  It is an offshoot of the Portland Root Cellar, where we have been many times over the last 20 years.  This was our second show to the one in Lewiston.

The audience was very young tonight; younger than our last time there.  There are many Muslim families in the neighborhood, and several of the children at the show were Muslim.  I find it fascinating that God is bringing the mission field to us.  There is no longer any excuse not to be part of the great commission of Christ to preach the Gospel to all the world.

The show was good.  I performed the six bill repeat trick for the first time ever, using it to tell how Solomon found that all his wealth was meaningless compared to the love of God.  I also performed 'Creed', 'Standing on the Promises of God', and my ring juggling routine, all of which are not regular parts of our show.  Since we had been to the Root Cellar six months ago, I tried hard not to repeat many routines. The strangest thing we did was produce our new dove, Ghost, from a change bag!  I forgot to pack my dove pan, but we had the bird with us, so I scrambled to find a way to utilize him.  In the end, it was the change bag that worked best.

I have a lot of respect for all that the Root Cellar ministries do, and it is always a blessing to be part of the work the work they do.
