Nyack Homecoming

Oct 15 2011

We're visiting our two oldest girls this weekend at Nyack College in Nyack, NY.  This is a wonderful school on the verge of becoming a university.  Jo is studying missions and Naomi youth ministry.  A lot has happened here already, including Naomi's best friend, Keshia, coming from her school in Almira, NY to visit for the weekend, too.

Yesterday, we met one of Naomi's friends on campus.  when she headed back to her room, this young lady told us, "Naomi's awesome.  Thank you for making her!"  What a compliment!

Today, Jo was stationed at a booth trying to raise money for an upcoming trip to Cambodia and Thailand this winter.  I was proud to help out by juggling with her to bring people closer to the table in hopes of getting them to make a donation.  While the juggling can't get all the credit, the booth brought in a significant amount of cash.  And it was great to juggle with Jo again.

"What a wonderful ministry to both children and adults.  In past years it has been a struggle to arrange programing that would hold the attention of all ages, but also challenge each heart with God's gift of Salvation.  Thank you for sharing your ministry."  -Sunday School Sup't.
