“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Windsor Memorial Baptist Church

On Friday evening, I had a show at a 'kid's club' at a small Baptist church in Windsor, ME.  This church has utilized us many times over the years, and it was a blessing to be back.

Admittedly I did not go up there in the best frame of mind.  (If you have read my last blog, you have an idea of how I've been feeling.)  Since Rose had a sleep over, and Sue was working late, I hit the road alone, and it was a great time to think, pray, and play music that Sue normally tells me she-can't-take-a-minute-longer at full volume.

The show itself was mediocre.  My juggling was poor, in large part due to fatigue.  But the kids (and the adult leaders, apparently) don't know what good juggling should look like, and were an appreciative audience nonetheless.  Performance-wise, the highlight was my new optical illusion that makes it appear that my head swells and shrinks right before the audience's eyes.  This was the first time I performed it, and there was an audible gasp from the crowd.

As for the presentation of God's Word, I tried, and God promises His Word will not return void.  To be honest, I'm not a great teacher of young children, and the majority of the kids present that day were under third grade.  If they just got some memories of church being a fun place, where people can be creative and kind, then it was worth it... and puts them lightyears ahead of a lot of church kids right there!

"What a wonderful ministry to both children and adults.  In past years it has been a struggle to arrange programing that would hold the attention of all ages, but also challenge each heart with God's gift of Salvation.  Thank you for sharing your ministry."  -Sunday School Sup't.
